Baby Lylah arrived at our session to begin our family visit. When I went out to greet her mum, she was so apologetic, saying that Lylah was asleep and she wasn’t sure how she would respond when she woke up. I explained that it was fine and that we would work at Lylah’s pace, and if she were really upset, then we would stop the session. We walked into the room, and I explained the situation to the children. You could see they were all disappointed at the thought of not having Lylah for this session. We started singing the welcome song, and suddenly Lylah opened her eyes. We all stared in anticipation at how she would react after being suddenly woken up. Lylah looked at the children and burst into an amazing big smile. Every child in that room responded by showing the biggest smiles ever. It was such a lovely moment to witness.
